Mission Statement
The Vinalhaven School Library exists to provide a full range of media in a centralized collection that will support the curriculum and meet the informational, cultural, and recreational needs of students and the professional needs of the staff. In addition, the library provides access to information resources beyond the school walls.
Effective student and staff use of media resources is
promoted through programs of instruction prepared in partnership between classroom teachers and the school librarian.
Through this instruction students will become effective users of ideas and information and independent, life long learners.
