Ms. White's Art Class!!!!

Can you think of a better close to the year than a life sized clay crock????!!!! Had to share! Happy summer to all!:) *work by MH gr.3!

Today Art 1 headed to Augusta to visit the State House and see Paxton’s artwork on display as part of the Excellence in Arts Education Exhibit. Paxton was the only 9th grader selected for the show — a huge honor and very well deserved.
On our way home, we also squeezed in a quick stop at CMCA in Rockland to check out work by contemporary Maine artists. Always exciting to get students out seeing art beyond the classroom walls and making connections to the bigger creative world around them.
And we still made the 1:00 boat home. Great day!

Art.1 Art.2, even and 8th grader in the mix, just making cool things with glass on blow torches!:) *the most wonderful time of the year;)

*should’ve posted long ago, but still a lovely Saturday share:) Pipe cleaner flowers kind of took over the art room earlier this year & I wasn’t sad about it one little bit;)

*another art room gem I just had to share. 7th grader Gia created the body of the vessel on the wheel & then added the spout handle & lid:) It’s just so lovely:)
